I'm not hiding the source.  I'm showing that it was paid in from another account in my name.
Whether that account is number 20-40-60 12345678   or 10-20-30 87654321 makes no difference.   So I don't see why I should need to share sensitive data such as that.
Well it does make a difference as they may want to the statements from the originating account to see where that money came from to trace it back to it's source which may be a loan, etc.

Ultimately your choice but be prepared for your application being closed by them, you don't set the criteria.
Again, I'd be able to show them the money arriving in the account from a house sale, all without telling them an account number.  Lloyds didn't have a problem with this......as mentioned in a later post, I wish I'd gone with them for a 3rd time but didn't and it would now be risky going back and having too many hard searches.
  • Well, you are where you are.

Don't give them the info = no mortgage.

I know what I would do.
  • I can't imagine why your sales keep falling through :p

You’re applying to have a product with Santander, you don’t have to have one with them and therefore you can choose to abide by their policies (and in this case, common sense) or try to find a product with a lender with policies that match your ambitions.

I’m not sure how you’ll convince the conveyancing solicitor to accept altered documents, by the way.

Complain about what? What nefarious things do you think anybody at Santander is going to do with those numbers?
