MavDrags said:Is NowTV the best alternative if I just want to keep Sky Sports without having to fork out for all the other stuff I don't watch that comes bundled with the base Sky subscription? I've been a Sky user for 20+ years - which they always nicely allude to before cutting a miniscule amount off the cost of my sub - but can't justify paying what they're asking for just to watch sports. I'd happily ditch Sky broadband too if there's a decent (and cheaper) alternative, but that's not a deal breaker. I've looked into alternatives, like EE TV (which says it would give me TNT Sports too), but whichever way I start to lean, there's always someone shaking their head and saying 'Oh, I wouldn't do that...'.If you want sport on its own and nothing else then Now is probably your best best.It does cost more but its at the benefit of no contract so you can just cancel it and it runs out and you lose nothing. Try it for a month and if you don't like it, you've only lost a month's payment.Sport is cheaper on Sky but you can't buy it on its own, you need the base package to add it to.There is no recording on Now.0

I pay between £17.99 and £22.99 a month for Sky Sports with NOW TV (No minimum term). Currently paying £22.99.
FYI - You cannot record Sky Sports with Sky either (Sky Stream/Glass).0 -
Slight deviation from the current subject matter but looking for advice.
I took up an offer for Sky Sports via Now TV on Aug 16th this year, 12 months @ £19.99 / month with 1 month free Boost, which I subsequently added for £6/month so my son can watch when he's away.
Monthly payments charged automatically to my credit card on the 16th of each month until this morning (for reasons as yet unknown to myself as our membership has definitely NOT been cancelled by us) and the service has been terminated within the past 4 hours. My membership details on both the website and app shown no Sports Membership but does show Boost, for which payment is due to be taken tomorrow.
As there is nobody at NOW TV to talk to and the chat bot on the website only addresses a finite number of questions (none of which are 'why haven't you taken my monthly subscription?), can anyone suggest my best course of action. The £19.99 deal compares favourably with the current £34.99 deal and so I obviously want the original terms reinstated.
Has anyone else been treated similarly?0 -
This sort of situation is almost always caused by payment failure - insufficient funds, expired card, etc.See 9.4 - https://www.nowtv.com/termsIf its not that then its probably 3.4.2 - "You must not let anyone outside your household access the service using your account or login details.".

My Boost add-on then cancelled automatically because they deemed I’d cancelled Sky Sports, but at least they notified me of this by email so I could renew myself.
in short, all ok now but so unnecessary and no legit explanation of why it happened in the first instance…….1
