Ok so I finally quit sky after about 20 years. We signed up to NowTv for the sports only. I am finding it stressful 😂😂. We can watch TV then sign out if wanting to watch on tablet. But when signing back into TV can't get the QR code or website link to work. Each time have to input email address and password via remote control which is a faff. Tried to get hold of online chat but wouldn't connect. Is this why it's so much cheaper. I don't want to regret sacking sky so any advice even it's just "chill out" I would welcome. Thanks

You don’t sign out after watching, you simply exit the app.You can be signed in and browse on more than one device. Without boost, you can only stream on the one device. Boost two devices and Ultra Boost three devices.0

You download the app on the device, login and watch, that’s it. Next time you open the app on that device you won’t have to login again unless you logged yourself out previously.
Some TV’s such as LG or Hisense will come with the NOW pre-installed. Simply login to your now account and watch. Again, as above, the next time you open the app on your Tv you won’t have to login again unless you logged yourself out previously.0 -

https://help.nowtv.com/article/managing-my-devices - "If you've got Boost or Ultra Boost, you can stream on 2 or 3 devices at a time. Otherwise, it's just one. When you stop watching on your first device, make sure you exit the show or movie you were watching rather than just pressing pause, turning off the TV or closing the app. This will signal that the stream has ended.
If you don't do this, you might need to wait up to 10 minutes before you can start watching on another device."You can be logged in as many devices as you like, you can't just watch on more than one if you don't have Boost or higher.0 -
So you don’t have Boost or Ultra Boost. You can only stream on one device at a time. You need to exit a live stream or on demand content ‘gracefully’ before attempting to watch another live stream, on demand content or on another device. If you watch something and just exit the app, Now still thinks your streaming and won’t allow another stream unless you have Boost or Ultra Boost. It can take around ten minutes before Now detects that you are no longer streaming because you exited the app prematurely and allows you access again. Annoying, I know.
When watching a live stream channel or on demand program/film, press the back button to go back to the now tv menu/tv guide before closing or exiting the app.1 -
Might be worth getting boost so that you can watch on two devices at once
Boost theoretically costs £6 per month but you can normally find deals that reduce that. I haven't paid more than £2 for boost for more than a year.
How much are you paying for sports? There are many deals for £19.99 per month so if you aren't paying that it's worth cancelling to see what you get offered to stay.0 -

Where do you get the nowTV deals as I need to be on case from now on getting best deals. Might add the other sky TV channels for a short while to watch the programmes that are coming on at the moment.0 -
Is NowTV the best alternative if I just want to keep Sky Sports without having to fork out for all the other stuff I don't watch that comes bundled with the base Sky subscription? I've been a Sky user for 20+ years - which they always nicely allude to before cutting a miniscule amount off the cost of my sub - but can't justify paying what they're asking for just to watch sports. I'd happily ditch Sky broadband too if there's a decent (and cheaper) alternative, but that's not a deal breaker. I've looked into alternatives, like EE TV (which says it would give me TNT Sports too), but whichever way I start to lean, there's always someone shaking their head and saying 'Oh, I wouldn't do that...'.0
