Ok thank you. I'm going to send it today.
Do I just need to copy and paste into an email? There's no form or anything?  And I sent send it to the email below:?
    ClaimResponses.CNBC@justice.gov.uk
One of the regulars @KeithP posted this explaining how to send your defence; probably worth another read. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/81223683/#Comment_81223683
  • I didn't know that- thanks for the tip.

it says on @KeithP post that

    There will be:
    (a) Directions Questionnaire (N180) stage - an easy form - EMAIL IT as per the Template Defence thread first 12 steps, (not as advised by bargepole by post).

does this come after the defence?

Once I have submitted the defence/ at what point will DCLB legal back down? I was told that 99% of cases don't go to court.

Yes,  after the defence,  study the 12 steps, it's all there, no need to ask,  same for everyone

Defence,  Mediation  , N180 DQ , allocated to your local civil court  , witness statement exchange , etc

Expect them to discontinue a few weeks before the hearing,  after the WS stage,  in several months time

I put this at the top of the email:

    IN THE COUNTY COURT

    Claim No.:  xxxxxx

    Between

Full name of parking firm Ltd, not the solicitor!

    (Claimant)

    - and -

Defendant named on claim (can’t be changed to driver now)

     (Defendant)

No. I don't understand. Why have you copied that?  None of that goes on the email
    body.

Obviously you are attaching a signed & dated PDF and your defence - of course - is certainly not headed 'Defendant named on claim (can’t be changed to driver now)' etc.!

  • I didn't put it in the text of the email I put it at the top of the PDF

I edited and put my name, claim number etc- didn't post it like that.

Was I supposed to include this information in the pdf?

I didn't get an email response when I submitted the email- is this normal? How do I know they received it ?

If you didn't get the auto email response,  it's not been received,  or the reply is in your spam folder

Very little text goes into the email header or body,  it is relying on a filled in defence template,  suitably adapted,  and saved as a pdf document,  being attached to the email,  the claim.responses section at the CNBC would deal with it appropriately

Phew, you did it right in the headings ... but unless you got an auto-receipt, IT IS NOT IN.

Did you type the email address wrong?

  • Thank you all for your support. Yes- I got an automated email receipt on the day I submitted .
I received a letter in the post from
HM tribunals service. Am I right in thinking that they now have 28 days to reply and that I don't need to do anything?

    Hello,

I can't find the reason for No on D1 of the questionnaire- Suitability for determination without hearing.

    What do I put here?

    Thank you.
