Dial on wireless programmable thermostat

  • We've got one of those. It was here when we moved in. Nothing happens when we press or turn the dial, there is no menu or way to program it. All we can do is press the boost buttons.

    You mean nothing comes up when you press the 'menu' button?
    Have you tried holding down the back and tick at the same time for 3 seconds, after turning the display on?
    Oh wow! 😊 .

    Worth trying;
    Press the dial in to fire up the display. Then press and hold the 'back' and 'tick' buttons simultaneously for three seconds.
    Anything happen?
    Or, press 'menu' button, and scroll along to find 'childlock'. Follow what it says.
    I know this is the newer model, but it could be similar;

    Argh! Yes!!  :) Inspired guess, thanks  o:)

    It seems to have worked: the device wasn't locked, but locking and then unlocking means that the dial is OK at present (either that, or something else was going on which I'm not going to look too closely at).

    The replacement WPT1 has already been ordered ...  :D

    Never mind, it's always good to have a spare  B)

    Bet she has a selection of words to describe you too :p
