Hi, I am the seller, £150 item lost in transit.
i have sent off the documents and Packlink is investigating with the carrier. Can take 30 days.
so my question is do I ask the buyer to wait or open a case? He has been very patient and waited 10 days to first contact me….

May I please re-open this thread?I have a related question.I sent my ebay parcel by Packlink Yodel. The tracking shows a final entry a month ago of "sorry, we are unable to deliver your parcel" showing the pacel at Huyton Service Centre. It never made it out for delivery. My buyer submitted an ebay item not received claim, and I refunded my buyer. I submitted a lost parcel claim to Packlink, including screenshots of the tracking history. This is not enough for Packlink to pay my claim! Packlink requires the recipient to manually sign a Denial of Receipt form they attached to their email to me, claiming it is a condition of Yodel. The form actually states "customer name". I purchased the postal label, hence I am the customer. Should I just fill in the form myself? I can't expect my buyer to cooperate weeks later by printing off forms, completing and posting them! The unnecessary complexity appears designed to sabotage refund claims.....0

I went to ofcom about this who can do nothing, they only truly sort post office. Havent yet found packlinks own complaints system..
They sent a pdf which cannot be sent through ebay system, followed by an image that they want the customer to print, fill out, rescan and send back.
Its deliberately laborious, to make customers not bother as they know they get ebay refunds anyway. My sale was stolen from a doorstep.
Good luck with your issue.0 -
I'd just try fill it out yourself and send it in!0
