Have you completed an A - Z claim form.

These may be dealt with by a different department.

Customer Service agents can only respond per their ‘script’.

If your A/z claim is rejected you can appeal it.

    Details are on AmazonUK.

Not sure what you expect Amazon to do, you didn't buy from them. That's the risk you take with 3rd party sellers and the reason I wouldn't spend any more than a few pounds to a 3rd party seller.
Amazon make money from 3rd party sellers, they can't just throw their hands up and refuse to take any responsibility for sales made using their platform.
Really? If a physical market trader rents a pitch from the market it doesn't meant the consumer has a claim against the market if the trader won't play ball....
Though if the market specifically guarantees to take responsibility for such sales, as a way to entice customers into the market ...

If it is returned as undelivered then I can see chargeback failing as retailer can reject on the grounds of not received.

No S75 cover due to item price. Never mind that it's a marketplace seller, so a break of the creditor/debtor link.
Which is why it's important to get proof of delivery and rejection as that should see the chargeback being accepted

Rejection means nothing, sorry to say.
