Yes, buying things separately did work out cheaper for us when we went to Tunisia........(it's the only holiday we've booked through lowcostbeds.com)
As a guide, we paid £415 for the 2 of us in total, HB for 7 nights in March 2006 staying in a 4* hotel close to everything we wanted. Same hotel and flight from CO-OP travel was £580!0 -

I'm a veggie too, pretty much teetotal and love cruises. I've just booked a cruise with NCL (other direction - Baltics). If your family tell them they are vegetarian at the time of booking they can sort things out for them. If you type NCL menus into google you can see sample menus for their restaurants. Veggie options include pizzas, pasta and the main dining room has an alternating veggie meal each day. There are also other veggie options on in the speciality restaurants. In addition, they do a range of soft drinks, a fair selection of waters, tea, coffees and some lovely non-alcoholic cocktails.
Although you can get a cruise for under £1000 budget, also bear in mind that they will need to budget for trips and tips (about £5 per day for the latter, plus 15% of bar charges). Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I think I have figured I can't afford a cruise.
Looking at Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco at the moment.0 -
Hi
Ive been to lake garda twice now and its fantastic, lots to see and do if they wish they can even go to venice, verona for the day we stayed in malcesine and the hotel in which we stayed in was called hotel casa barca which was superb. There are plenty of cheap flights to brescia with ryan air which is about a 1 1/2 drive but most of that is up the side of the lake. Highly recommended, only one problem in the summer you can sometimes have a cracking thunderstom at night but its awsome to watch it bouncing from one side of the lake to the other. Hope this helps0
