Court Claim from DCB Legal frozen in time

But you are asking us if you should keep waiting, but you have not provided us with the information required to answer your query. I am suggesting that you should be seeking answers from the CNBC in Northampton, the last place that you contacted. There is no way that we could answer the query without further information
The choice to find out or live in anxiety over the progress of the claim, is yours to make
After you submitted the paperwork to the CNBC, you should have been checking your MCOL claim history every week or every fortnight, checking on progress0 -
Well my point is I got to sending N180 to CCBC and DCB legal as directed in the newbies, which doesnt say i should of then been checking MCOL every week or so, And because it has been so long, and with no letters or CCJ against me I just wanted advice on whether to reach out to the court or trust the process that they will inform me about the case when there is any news regarding it.
So im calling the CCBC now to see what the deal is with it.
Im not in anxiety over it Im kinda hoping i do have the chance to defend myself in the court but I'm just more wondering whats happening.0 -
Ok so Ive spoken to CCBC, the man on the phone was very helpful he told me the case was filed to my local CC in october and a date of the hearing needed to be set by the court, but then he noticed this was october 2023! and he's told me the case has obviously been overlooked and essentially stalled in my local CC and as of now it literally is frozen and DCB legal has not chased the court to find out what is going on with this claim, so from my end now I really can just wait, prepare my evidence and defence, if and when a court date is arranged but for now it looks like I have been forgotten about and DCB legal if they wanna proceed need to really chase it. Not my problem.Gr1pr said:Phone the CNBC helpline with the claim reference number and ask for clarification on where it is up to
Or
Email them on the claim management email address and give them the details and ask for the details and claim history due to hearing nothing further
( You should have replied earlier with the additional inability to check the claim due to the passkey issue. )0 -
exactly do nothing for now
not a London court by any chance?2 -
no my friend, not a london court.Grizebeck said:exactly do nothing for now

- I wonder how long a case can sit there gathering dust. I guess we will see, personally i reckon it'll be DCB legal waking up and remembering the claim which will wake up the case. 0 -

As you can now see, the information required was obtained from the CNBC in Northampton, transferred out which is why there is no claim form case history
Sit and wait, its not your problem if the court hasn't dealt with it0 -
The case will be stayed. If DCB Legal want to un-stay the case, they will have to make an application to the court and pay a fee and then explain to a judge why they did nothing for so long with no guarantee that the stay will be lifted. As the defendant, you would have to be notified and copied in on all this and you would have the right to object to the stay being lifted and you could ask the court to throw it out.
If it's been dormant for so long, let sleeping dogs lie, as the saying goes. Get on with your life. DCB Legal are too busy plucking low-hanging fruit off the gullible tree and getting rich in the process.2 -

Here you go, when i put in the claim no. with the passkey by the way it says its incorrect and don't give me nothing. I 200% responded via MCOL as per directed in the newbies when i got the claim form in April 2023Grizebeck said:Screenshot from MCOL please.

after calling CCBC they confirmed the case has transferred to my local CC which is why It's no longer on MCOL. the case has been stalled for over a year now and according to the post above its most likely stayed.Coupon-mad said:boffintosh said:
