It definitely doesn't say that on here, they nearly all go to a court, plenty go to a hearing

What is known is that ECP claims via DCB LEGAL Do go to a court, the defendants local civil court, so probably Manchester in your case, but DCB LEGAL discontinue just before the hearing fee is due, as in the nearly 670 examples in the thread by Umkomaas

These cases NEVER contain Parking fines, just pcn invoices

You should have received an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL, in the post, addressed to the same person as the letter above, probably 3 or 4 weeks ago

Most of them don't go to court if you follow the advice on here and respond the the official government notices.

Yours didn't get to court either, but that's because you didn't respond and so there's now a default judgement.

It's still not a CCJ - that will only follow if you don't pay this (or try and get it struck out and then provide your defence).

    Options are: -

    1. Pay before 9th July to avoid it showing on your credit file and causing you six years of inability to obtain credit and/or pay increased premiums on insurance etc.
    2. Complete and submit a N244 form (costs £313.00); you will need a good reason why you did not reply to the N1SDT claim form - judges don't' like credit cleansing.
    3. You say you don't recall receiving a letter; was your V5C up-to-date and was your address correct with the parking company and their solicitors? Weird that you didn't receive the claim form but you did receive the judgment.
    4. In order to assist you with (3) above, call the CNBC on Monday and ask them when and to where they posted the N1SDT claim form.

"I don’t recall receiving any letter to say it was going to court."

That doesn't sound very sure. Nobody else in your household could have affected things?

There is a way to pay less to end this (and avoid a CCJ) but there's no availability to help you this week or next and nobody told you to ignore a claim form.

Remind me around the final week of June and I'll see if my influential contact can help you settle it for less and get DCB Legal to agree to remove it.

DO NOT FORGET TO ASK ME THEN - AND DO NOT IGNORE THIS - AS YOU HAVE MANAGED TO GET YOURSELF A CCJ AND IT MUST BE ADDRESSED WITHIN 4 WEEKS.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
