I've got some protein powder that as farms I remember is just peas, no upfs.  Doesn't go particularly well in a sweet smoothie mind you 🤢 and I've not tried it in soup (but can't see why it wouldn't work). Sounds like you're on the case anyway x

I've used frozen avocado before. Not as nice as a good fresh avocado, but better than a grotty one.

And I've also used pea protein powder. Checking my order history, I seem to mostly have used chocolate flavour :)

Sounds like you are taking a very sensible approach xx

I had swede and split pea soup myself for tea - made it yesterday and although it was alright I wished I'd ignored the but in the recipe that called for curry powder 🙄 not sure why i didn't, i ignored plenty of other things - the recipe didn't even have swede in 😂😂

rt - the prescription meal shake things are apparently rank, it is so good that your dear OH is able to still enjoy wholefoods.

I know that when mum had spells in hospital, she had - as her in-hospital meals - the same meals that w1ltsh1re farm f00ds deliver to homes.  The hospital trust bought them in, rather than had their catering team develop special diets.  They do soft and very, very soft versions.  Whilst the very, very soft take some getting used to appearance-wise, they are supposed to have all the nutrients and balanced diet factors.  I know that following every hospital stay mum came out looking much better than she went in - which isn't a statement that can follow some hospital stays, for some people.  I'm not touting it as a solution, I'm saying that 'wholefoods' provided much more interest to eat, at a time when physically the act of eating and digestion became an issue for my mum.  Well done to Team rt for working to keep foodstuffs as familiar as possible.

I was watching a prog/video the other day and the person cooking, crushed tortilla chips (crisps) and put them into their.... tacos (I think) - for added crunch, so you're not alone 😁

I use Fudc0 crispy fried onions (from Mr S) on sandwiches for crunch but, whilst suitable for vegans, am not sure if they would meet your dietary/UPF requirements.

It might be worth you looking at KTC crispy fried onions as they are nearly half the price per 100g!!
