I've lived where they leave the lightbulbs & I've lived where they take the lightbulbs. But the cat flap, really! That is almost like taking a window.4

Annoying on the cat flap but I do like the borrowed furry alarm clock. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

@beanielou & @badmemory - that catflap & the rotary dryer spike are the two things that made me the most annoyed! both of which are honestly easy to replace tbh but whose absence caused a lot of irritation!
@redofromstart - furry alarm clock used to live here at mine - they took the flap but left the cat! - sweet neighbour next door (not them of the plastic grass) took him in and fattened him up, but he still hangs out on the roof outside our bedroom meowing piteously, watches the birds from atop my summer house & curls up resembling a Russian fur hat on the shed roof to sun himself & have a nap. He is quite the tomcat & very territorial, routinely picking fights with the calico who also likes to hang out in my garden. He's an old rotund thing now and can't even fit under the gate & even though he has an actual name I call him Fatty and he answers to it 🤣🤣🤣4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! OMG...
OUCH OUCH OUCH
Water company sent me an e-mail saying paper bill will be with me in 4days...
Logged onto my online account to try and download it...
No PDF available...
...but there is an amount mysteriously posted to the account of close to 750 for the year!!!
Last year it was about 325...
A 57% increase!!! For what??? - I can guarantee you my water usage has not doubled!!!
So now I have to find an extra 30 pounds a month! - not sure where I'm supposed to magic that up from!
OH is going to have to start doing surveys again in earnest! At his height he was bringing in 90 pounds a month, so even 1/3 of that would be useful atm.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Crikey! Brutal indeed! 😱
Ours seems to have increased from £18 a month to £29 which is bad enough 😱 (it's so low because we don't have mains drainage)3 -

This is what happens when ofwat say they can put it up by so much by 2030 & omit to announce that that means they can put it up by that much this year alone & not by a fifth of that %age every year. They told mine they could put it up by 30% by 2030 so naturally I thought oh that's not too bad 6% a year. 28% this year alone. That means that the cost of the actual increase over the 5 years will be almost double what I expected & those with the larger increases will be even greater. I would probably get banned if I said what I really think about ofwat. As for what I think of the various water companies!!4

That's awful, definitely worth querying. £90 pm on surveys is really impressive, though.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
