Lummee that sounds like a hard slog ….! Well done for getting it over the line though and already getting sensible feedback. I hope that eases the pressure on you a smidgeon?

@KajiKita- thanks hunny - it was a nasty process - hard on the brain and body!
Today's fun was bypassing local HR and going straight to the grievance person at HQ. It was oddly more satisfying than I thought it should be! 🤣🤣🤣
Today I am thankful for my past self who learned how to network and my present self who got over herself and reached out to that network! They are very generous with their advice and support!

Very interesting…
Having submitted a piece of writing to 'Her Highness' for approval I was fullfully expecting that self-justified 'red pen' response. Imagine my surprise when she approved it with both the typos an unrelated paragraph I'd left in?! Now I have to go back to her and explain why I'm taking out said paragraph - sigh! (and just correct the typos quietly) …and here I thought I was being strategic and saving myself unwarranted criticism!
She has behaved really oddly since last week when she found out I was submitting a grievance and an appeal. Perhaps she thought I'd not bite back given my calm demeanour for the past three months. I have to keep reminding myself I have NOTHING to loose so just keep calm and carry on being the fully transparant & honest person i'vve always been!4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Maybe someone else has had a word with ‘Her Highness’ ….? 🤔

I'm not sure who had a word but she's smarting!
The piece of communications work I did was actually really appreciated by many of my colleagues and she had to jump on the bandwagon in an effort to appear magnanimous. I can guarantee you it's not the best piece of work i've ever done, and it would have been more in keeping for her not to recognize the quality or effort…and then today I got eight words from her…'Hope today was relaxing. Have a good weekend.' - why would today be relaxing? I was working like stink from home - and she never wishes me a good weekend? - Baffling - just utterly baffling.4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Oops - I've just discovered that OH owes tax as I forgot to shift savings into his ISA's and savings interest counts as income! So now his 400 pounds over the threshold means he owes 80 pounds tax! SIGH - Let's chalk that up to idiot tax!

Aw, what a shame about the tax. But consider how many things you are juggling - you are doing amazingly and there are more important things than money (am I allowed to say that on here?) Anyway, you have noticed and can do what's necessary to stop any further slide.
Strange behaviour from 'Her Highness', indeed. One of those situations where one infers from what one observes that 'Things' are happening offstage.

@Cherryfudge- yes you are correct in that! Other things have indeed prevented me from being on top of it all!
I've now moved all pitiful savings account into an easy access ISA at a higher (but not great) interest rate. The remaining account is 8% interest so no point closing that as he will be taxed this year anyway, but at least we know that there is more in the ISA category for when the allowance eventually gets transferred to me. Once I close that 8% account in March (or before) and move that balance to the ISA, I may just transfer the remainder to his name from my savings account so that his ISA account can max out at the 20000. Then in theory for the 27-28 year he won't pay any tax. Who knew there were these kind of financial perks to being married! (…and yes I know he may not get to 27-28 but no harm in planning as if he will)4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! Pay day today - hooray! - money shuffled - mortgage goes out tomorrow at the new inerest rate - gulp!
Grievance that went in Monday is going to be heard by the head of HR globally - gulp!
OH is having altered chemo next week - one of three drugs being dropped this round as 1 week into last round, he was ready to give up entirely. - gulp!
New exercise program is triggering my tics and tremors (week 2 of 12) - no seizure yet thank goodness, but my body and brain seem to be arguing!
We have a large brown rat hanging out in our back garden and getting bolder by the day - ewwwwwww - poison boxes purchased and deployed -;nice neighbour has called her mates at environmental health as she found evidence of a hole by the foundations of her house! Mrs. PG was heard yelling at her other neighbour about her open bird feeder as a rat had been seen on the fence. This is going to be a saga, I can feel it in the air!
