I sold our last TV on auction. I listed the issue and included a photo of the 'damage'.
It was buyer collection.
No idea if it was easily repairable or stripped for parts, but if someone could buy it and strip it down then good for them.
I took the view that it would be going to the tip otherwise so anything I got for it was a bonus. I may have received £40 ( was 5 years ago).
