    It's interesting that unlike BPA members that only permit the driver to make a second stage appeal in Scotland, this one allows the keeper to make such an appeal, not that anyone would want to do so.

    I was the same situation as you, arrived at dusk to run up for sunset and didn’t noice the new parking enforcement. I have the same PCN but had already thrown out the fines before a letter from Solicitors arrived today.
    Just wondering how you are getting on as you are about a month before me timeline wise.

    Then you will have been ignoring for a month less than the OP. Nothing else matters except complaints to the landowner, your MP, and signing the petition to get the mandatory parking CoP introduced in law as per the link in the thread below, and of course ensuring that the driver's identity is never revealed.

    Scotland = ignore. DO NOTHING.

    But the law and appeals will change in Scotland next year for new private PCNs, so avoid private car parks, read signs and beware in future.  Don't even drive in.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Many thanks for the advice earlier this year. In recent months I've had occasion to be at the same car park several times – and each time decided to pay using the Tap2Park site online. Once though I genuinely forgot and have received an identically worded NTK / PCN from CPS as pictured earlier in the thread.

    Where are we currently with the new legislation? Am I compromised now that I have actually paid for several occasions through the Tap2Park site using my own name / bank account details / Apple Pay, or do you think I can safely ignore this one as well as the original couple from my original post?!

    Yes it would have been sensible to completely avoid the car park altogether, but it is very convenient for one of Scotland's greatest short walks and I expect to go again in future...

    The new legislation is not in force just yet, keeper liability does not currently apply for PCNs issued in Scotland.

    It was intended that the relevant section of the legislation would be enforced following the introduction of the Government Statutory Code of Practice.  This has been repeatedly delayed but expected in 2026.
