Silver:Courage said:An update. After months of ignoring letters from two debt collection agencies we've had a letter from HM Courts and Tribunals Service. Any advice on next steps. Fee is now £270.68.
Luckily, defending a claim is even easier than any appeal was! Very simple.
See the Template defence thread.
Show us the Particulars, redacting the VRM. And tell us the Issue Date of the Claim.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There's are the particulars.
Issue date is 16th Sept - so from what I understand we have 14 days from the 21st to respond on money claim.gov.uk?
The claim is in my husbands name and he is rightfully worried and not overly supportive of the fact I've been fighting it.

He just uses the Template Defence and they'll eventually discontinue in 2026.
No hearing, no risk, nothing to pay.
Tell him to think of this stage as the resolution he thought he would get from POPLA. Only it's even easier!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As Coupon_mad says, there is no risk and DCBL will discontinue because it's a scam and a rubbish claim.
You will note that in the amount claimed, they say it includes DAMAGES. MET has not suffered any damages ?? This is rubbish AND it's the way DCBL try to hide the words DEBT COLLECTION.
This is highly misleading for you and the courts. DCBL has a duty to tell the truth.
Regarding the interest of 8%, judges normally dismiss this, let's face it, where do we get 8% nowadays ?
Verry doubtful this will end up in court because it's a FAKE claim and DCBL WILL BE SPANKED by a judgeYou now play the game with DCBL, they will try to make you think they will win, it's just a ploy to make you pay. No doubt they will offer you a discount to pay which is the best indication that they don't want to go to court and it's all a try-on.
DO NOT PAY THEM and take no notice ....... that's when they discontinue .... end of fakery and scam
Even if this went to court and you lost, a judge fed up with parking scams will no doubt knock off the interest claim and the fake DAMAGES claim.
This just leaves the parking charge itself and you will be given up to 30 days to pay which means NO CCJ
So play their silly game and follow the info given on here to the letter1 -
