Advice Please! Don't understand TV/Broadband/Landline Options Available

So many TV options available these days and suspect I'm paying far too much to BT!  Out of contract early December hooray! Help would be really appreciated.

Currently have BT FTTP superfast 900 broadband (complete Wifi with 4 repeater discs...large, old stone house), simple BT/EE TV package and landline with unlimited calls.

TV:
Live very rurally so Freeview wasn't available so historically we've had/still have Freesat.  Over time added BT TV which use mainly for catch up terrestrial channels, Netflix, Prime, Now.... Have old-ish but functional smart TV.

Phones:
Landline was necessary due to no mobile coverage.  Now have digital VOIP(?) but no use in powercut and occasionally experience bad connection/echo.   BT's extra emergency service which provides free mobile router in event of fibreoptic problem is no use due to lack of mobile signal coverage.
May be able to relinquish landline now if willing to accept occasional poor mobile phone connection.

Best set-up:
So what is best way of having access to the TV channels I watch - Amazon Firestick?
If I change broadband provider I have been told BT own the 4 discs so will have to return them.  Is it better to buy my own extenders.  Additional issue is that electric circuit is in 3 separate set ups/rings(?) so can't easily use the wiring.

Grateful for any assistance/  Thank you.

First check your detailed Freeview predictions using the Pro Tool... https://www.freeview.co.uk/corporate/detailed-transmitter-information
Your predictions may have changed with the Digital Switchover.
I'd normally ask for a postcode of a nearby pub, church, school etc.,. but very rural and 100m x 100m prediction squares mean that we'd know where you live probably.

Freesat can be fed to multiple recorders of stbs but may need extra cabling and / or a LNV with more outputs.  Some TVs have satellite inputs but not many are Freesat (LG and Sony are I believe).

Freely TVs can live stream the main PSB broadcasters https://www.freely.co.uk/ and use catchup via a backward EPG.  This sort of thing is expected to replace broadcast TV in the long run.
Any decent smart TV or streaming stick/box (Fire TV, Google Chromecast TV, etc,.) may be able to do the same.  So you may not need Freeview via a UHF aerial or Freesat via a dish anyway?

You can buy the equivalent of the BT discs --- they are known as 'Mesh WiFi' units.  BT may sell them to you if you ask and want them?

Many mobile phones can make and receive calls over WiFi if network reception is poor and unlimited calls packages with 5GB of data for around £5 a month are available.
