So - ignore until day 26. what happens when day 26 hits? assuming they haven't sent me anything in the post. Don't bother appealing at all? Is there a way of finding out if anyone has been successful with POPLA with this car park?0

No. I don't understand. I told you when to appeal and what to put, word for word.
It is impossible for a letter to arrive by day 26 after a windscreen PCN that already tells you how to appeal online.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You won't get anything before you appeal on day 26
Day 29 or later is when you may receive an NtK PCN letter in the post, or you may not get it until after day 56, or it may never arrive in the post. You or we cannot predict what will happen, so forget the what ifs, follow the process that you need to follow, based on it currently being a windscreen PCN, an NtD , invoice to the driver.
So appeal as keeper on day 26 using the advice by coupon mad earlier. ( Don't ask, just do it, don't overthink it . )
Leave the parking company to either follow the process, or fail to follow it, or do so but incorrectly or too late !1 -
