Maybe I should send my daughter to you.
I used to be terrible for buying bits n pieces for people. Or gadgets for myself. (I do like a good gadget!) Maybe ornaments for Christmas or something.
A couple of years back we went to Istanbul for a holiday and to a Christmas Market later in the year. On both occasions we'd be wandering round the bazaar/stalls I'd point something out, ask if she liked it. Very often she'd say:
"Yes, but...- I've nowhere to put it (she didn't have a flat at the time)
- It might not fit in with what I eventually want
- It's expensive for what it is and
- It's breakable, so we'd never get it home anyway.
- Which means it isn't needed.
- It's nice but not worth it
So you'd be wasting your money.
Move awaaaay from the stall!"
Now, every time I go to a garden centre, charity shop or whatever I hear her little voice saying "It's tat, mum. Tat! Move awaaaay from the stall!"
If you'd like to borrow her, my rates are very reasonable!A budget is like a speed sign - a LIMIT not a TARGET!!

Hi All
My name is MvTMM and I too am a stasher!!I would love to come along for the ride.
@_Dolly_Rocker_ You could have written my list, I too have a stash of;- Fragrance - probably 7 or 8 untouched large bottles of perfume as well as the 4 that are currently in use.
- Make Up - I don't even wear that much and yet have a huge stash, beauty boxes and advent calendars were to blame, I've stopped them all now.
- Skincare - QVC was my nemesis, I have enough SBC to start a spa!!
- Notebooks - stationery in general, this goes back to my childhood and I still love a pen/notebook/highlighter!
- Clothes - my wardrobe is rammed
- Bags - probably have abut 10 bags that have never been used and about 20 that are in use.
- Shoes - we won't even put a figure to this section!!!! Imelda Marcos would have been proud of my collection!

I'm the same with the make up - you would think I wore a full face daily with the amount that I've got.
In reality I probably put mascara on about once a month.Debt Free - 4th June 20252 -
Still working my way through the stash of everything that is lurking in my cupboards.
I've got a few empty bottles that I will add to my UU (used up) list. Will help to keep me motivated.
Also can't wait to get some of the space back - I have wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too much STUFF.

Hi All
Well since my post at the beginning of December I've actually gained more perfume, Christmas and birthday presents! But I have used some items up, listed some clothes and handbags on Vinted and donated more to charity. I really need to start keeping a tally as a motivator! @_Dolly_Rocker_ your UU list sounds like a good idea. I resisted the January sales and am trying to stay focused, it's hard when there are so many lovely things to buy

It's so difficult especially all the sales and everything in all those lovely boxes!
I'm a sucker for stuff like that.
I've also managed to resist the sales.
I'll start my UU list - I've kept all the empty bottles in a bag cos I wanted to list them and then forgot - found the bag yesterday so will list it tonight then recycle them.Debt Free - 4th June 20251
