Intoa ISA

I am ALL cash (no ISA). Re budget. I
s anyone banking on going into an ISA hoping that 'past' ones will not be touched? If I get one now, there is nointerest to be touched and ifeasy access, can find somewhere else to stick it (hopefully!)

In among all the gazillions of other speculative budget-related threads on here, I don't recall seeing anyone referring to urgently funding an ISA with a view to protecting money against some unspecified change to legislation affecting new ISAs, but it's possible to deposit up to £20K in ISAs just now if you feel the need - if you've got that sort of money sloshing around in easy access accounts then there's little to lose, assuming you're optimising interest, etc.

If you've got £20k literally in all cash as your post states then any bank is going to be paying your more interest than just holding cash at home. With the possibility of 5% interest that's a lot of money you're throwing away
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.
