I think that Viggobaby111 has a point. Recently noted that Asda butter has increased from £1.65 to £2.00. that seems t obe a whopping 35% increase on something that is supposedto be a household basic.

Or £1.90 a block if you buy double size so 20p cheaper than buying 2 blocks

It is a 35p price increase, or 21% increase, not 35%.

Whether it is a "household basic" or not makes little difference, price will reflect supply and market. 

Dairy has been volatile this year and we already pay too little for it, as we do for most food, we need to pay more so farming can be made more sustainable both financially and environmentally.
