They obviously decided you were not the sort of gullible person they seek.  Well done!

  • Hi, back in 2022 i received a fine from UKCPS. I was not driving the car nor present at that time.. So I have no idea who was. I did send them a letter explaining this and I have not heard anything since until Trace debt recovery starting writing to me recently asking for £170! They have now sent me a final letter with 14 days to reply, otherwise it will be sent to a solicitor. Can anyone advise me what I should do please? Any advice would be greatly appreciated :) Thank you

Wait for your Moorside legal letter then start a thread.

  • New login - was Mark R Haynes

UKCPs have just cancelled my charge - no explanation - no apology.

I wrote to them - recorded delivery - with a copy of my letter to them chasing up an outcome to my appeal - stating 1. their own docs tell you to do this (obviously they hope people forget) and 2. pointing out that they had - in not providing an outcome notice - they had denied me my 21 day right to appeal to the arbitrator.

    Utter idiot scammers.

If anyone reading this would like a hand dealing with them or Trace or Moorside - sing out!
    Yes please!

    The story:

Received letters from Trace to pay £170. Ignored them.
Now I received a letter for Moorside (does not have any letter of claim or anything like that as a heading) asking for the £170. No evidence included in any of the letters.

I have not received a letter of fine from NCP themselves.

However, the accusation might be true as I have overstayed in a train station parking while waiting to pick up my friends - found evidence when looking into NCP and Greater Anglia websites.

How do I proceed? First time dealing with this and the other threads just confused me on best moves to make.
Is it best to pay since it is probably my fault but try to remove the extra "costs" that these companies add? If yes how do to so?

    Thanks!

    Is it best to pay
Certainly not.  And you don't want to pay less. You want to pay nothing.

When the claim form arrives this will be as easy as all the other Moorside cases, using the Template Defence with Chan and Akande.
