Best way to get bulk avios?

Hi everyone I'm trying to use my companion voucher to book the return leg of my journey.
I am planning to get business class 1 way from singapore to London. I understand that the voucher gets us 50% off the avios amount. I need to pay £203 + 45000 miles - I have 10k miles at the moment, so just looking to fill the avios gap.
Do they do avios sales on black friday? Are there any other websites where we can purchase avios aside from BA?
Thank you!

Best way to earn a bulk that size is by a credit card sign up bonus.
Head For Points has a good page here discussing purchasing Avios where it says they do offers sometimes https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/02/01/is-it-worth-buying-avios-points-3/
Straightforward purchasing is likely to be around 2p per Avios which may not be good value.
There is another way, Avios Boost allows you to double, triple or quadruple any recent Avios credits. This method mean you can purchase for around 0.92p per Avios. https://www.headforpoints.com/2023/12/28/how-does-avios-balance-boost-work/1 -
You can also do Avios Subscription which, depending on what plan you sign up for, offers good value too. You need to be looking at around 1p per Avios if you buy them.1

Hi,
I thought that 45,000 was on the low side so out of curiosity I checked and I’m seeing 110,000 so that’d be 55,000 with the voucher (and £290). This is off peak next September. Perhaps it’s different on the date that you’ve checked.
if you’re happy to do some boring surveys you can join e-rewards and/or aviosforthoughts. You can get around 3,000 Avios per month using these sites if you put the time in. They can be mind-numbingly dull, but I focus on the outcome - a comfortable long haul flight somewhere nice.Anyway, if you do get to book the flight I’d highly recommend the Qatar lounge in Singapore rather than the BA. It has fantastic á la carte menu with good wine. It also has spacious showers and a cocktail bar. Your BA ticket would allow access.1 -

The Qatar lounge is the best one in Singapore at the moment.1 -

The Qatar lounge is the best one in Singapore at the moment.Secondly QR don’t recognise status holders in the same way as other OW airlines and Silver status will not get you into the QR lounge at SIN with an Economy or basic business (Business Lite) fare. It needs to be a proper business ticket, which is obviously eligible in its own right so the Silver status is irrelevant. (Incidentally if you book a QR flight through BA then it will automatically be a proper business fare and will allow access as they don’t have lite ‘P’ class fares).QR have separate Frequent Flyer lounges for status holders and at SIN it’s a contract lounge (SATS maybe) so you’d be better off in the BA lounge (which is perfectly acceptable). At London and Doha (and others maybe) they have FF lounges which are very nice.At DOH there was the odd situation we overheard once where one guy and his wife, both travelling in Business (on a lite fare) were refused access to the Bus lounge and also to the Frequent Flyer lounge, yet the people behind him in the queue (Mrs J and I - both silver, and our two non status guests - and all of us were flying economy) were granted access.2 -
I’ve just looked it up and perhaps reward flights no longer qualify for entry to the Qatar lounge. Does ‘revenue’ exclude reward flights? I used the lounge on a reward flight in January 23 and a colleague did the same last autumn.
- For Qatar Airways and oneworld First and Business class ticketed revenue customers only. Guests are not permitted.

I did call up Qatar and BA , they both confirmed I would be allowed entry into the lounges but will have to see when I arrive as the lounge staff may have a different answer -my outbound flight got cancelled due to the ba engine issues and i was rebooked onto Qatar (1st time in business class and on Qatar!) Thank you everyone!1
