I'm sure there is a thread somewhere. We have been customers too long, only as our email is @ntlworld.com. They inherited us. You can't transfer to another provider I believe? We have Volt M350 broadband simply because my son was working from home around covid, & needed a faster speed. Still working from home but now only 1 or 2 days, so wanted to reduce speed now & lower price from £43.09p per month phone & b/band. I was told I couldn't 'downgrade' as we have 9 months left on our contract. Might get max discount if I call back Jan. 25!! Yes I did call 'retentions' too but simply could not get the guy to budge. We would prefer to stay with VM but just pay less. Any suggestions & advice greatly appreciated. Perhaps a VM operator might read this??

if you're in contract, then there is no incentive for VM to offer you any sort of reduction1

Why would they reduce the rate if you are still in minimum term? Phone them back one month before that moment.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
