  • £166.53/£240.
    £73.46 left.
    £101.01 spent since last post.

£85.10 on the Mr S delivery yesterday, all but one item came. Thankfully the item that they didn't have wasn't really needed but just wanted as a quick from the freezer item so that was fine. As £6.60 was on two lots of toilet roll (should be good until January) and £11.75 of it was on the on offer 5KG of sushi rice alone that will last a long time I'm calling that a win.

£11.12 at L!dl. Went there as was in the area and had a free fruit coupon. Got pears as I like them in my porridge. I picked up 1.49kg of pears and a kg of the price of them got taken off due to the coupon. Saw that ghost pumpkins were on offer at 86p each in the store so got one. The till wouldn't take it so the SS personnel put it through as a 69p cucumber as it was busy  :D. A few reduced items that went into the freezer that would have been stupid to leave behind as they'll save money later. Also for some reason this store had red peppers at 29p ea instead of the 39p offer stated online so bought 2.

£4.79 at Watr*se on a few needed items; OH got his 'free' coffee.

    £267.54/£240.
    £27.54 over.

Our month goes to the 30th so still quite a while to go. Really hoping we don't go over £300.

This really does feel like a lot for two people however I'm very mindful that this month has been a lot of bulk items and restocking the freezer.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D

DH pays for the dog food, so it is not part of the grocery budget. I have done the search, looking for a Black Friday deal and got 15% off 12 kg direct from the manufacturer. We have changed to the senior version of her usual food, but it was still cheaper than from Amazon “subscribe and save,” and delivery was included. £40.79 for six months supply. It lasts better since I put a scoop for just under her portion size. She gets a few safe table scraps, and spare eggs from our hens. She cleans the plain yoghurt, cream pots and aluminium foil perfectly for recycling and gets the rinsings of milk bottles and saucepans. Her favourite treat is a bit of carrot peel. A frugal old dog. Her annual vet checks and vaccinations for life were covered by a one off payment of £99, twelve years ago. I get a prescription for any medicines and buy them from a well known company online. Her third party insurance comes with our membership of Dogs Trust.

618/550  Well not quite end of month but have gone over.  I go from 23rd until 23rd. So 68 in the red. That is for 3 adults and 2 tortoises. We done 5 shops this month so that would be why we went over.  Hopefully normal 4 weekly shops next month.  Off topic but renewed passport on monday and received new passport today very quick.

I have £98 left for this month which I'm pleased about.  There will be one more shop but I'm fairly confident it will be less than this.
the cat's food, litter and treats have already been bought and paid for.

we have decided to use some of our eating out budget to make a fancy roast dinner this weekend.  The cost will be lower than going for a pub lunch and hopefully the quality will be as good or better than the pub.  We have bought a piece of beef from the butcher and will do the usual veggies.  I'll attempt to make Yorkshire puddings but I'm not very successful.  Any recipes and hints would be very welcome!
As the oven will be on I'll make a rice pudding too.  Really looking forward to a cosy Sunday afternoon.

    £98 remaining til 30th November.

Equal volume of flour, eggs and milk (or water or mix of both).  Needs to be by volume not weight.

£1.48 spent in Aldi on potatps and onions.
Trip to Sainsburys for a few bits and bobs and ended up spending £46.95. £9.33 Of that was on a gammon joint for new year which was 1/3 off with nectar. Have kept to my new policy of only buying meat products when reduced in price.

Have also ordered a couple of presents from Argos that were black Friday deals that I will get nectar points on to spend in Feb.

    A bit of catching up.
Asda £2.74 on vegetables, including the free frozen peas used for first aid. I asked to take the bag home so it wouldn’t be refrozen by mistake, or wasted.
(I had a nice e-mail from someone at Asda asking how I was after my fall.)

Sains, £20.46 which included the half price leg of lamb, milk, budget rice, and a red pepper.
Aldi, DH spent £5.06, Milk, basic mixed fruit and nuts, and his cookies
Aldi, £19.03, I felt the need of a few flowers after a painful week.
    Sub total, £47.59

    Budget £150. £105.02 spent, £44.98 left.
  • I've spent a total of £60.71 today at the greengrocer and Aldi. As well as essentials for the week ahead I did pick up some Xmas treats and a few bits for a party we're hosting next weekend. I've got a delivery booked for next week to bring the rest of the party supplies so it's all under control although I'm fairly sure I'll be over budget by the end of the month as I really should have adjusted the amount to take the party into account.
