Sky out of contract but really expensive!

Hello everyone..just looking for any help here. I have been with Sky for over 22 years. Most years I have managed to negotiate a decent renewal price but not this time. I only have fast broadband and basic Sky tv package and pay as you go phone line and it's now at £81 per month. Tried to get this reduced - doubly annoying when Sky are offering newbies netflix and heaven knows what for £38. I really need the broadband for work, I have called a few times now and got nowhere. Last time when I was clear I wanted to reduce my bill they offered me Sky Glass at £79 per month. Bonkers. Does anyone have any suggestions here? Other than just leaving and hoping I can get up and running with someone else before it gets in the way of working. Anyone had any good success with getting a decent deal? Many thanks.

just for fyi - I've got EE for about £45 a month for broadband, landline and a hook up to get my mobile for an additional £7 a month.
Tell them I can get this for XXXX and see what they say?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe and Old Style Money Saving boards. Many thanks. You don't need to keep the broadband with Sky.TV and Broadband with Sky are two entirely different contracts.Depending on what you watch Now might be a better alternative - Sky TV/channels without the contract and without the massive price. If you just want sport on its own for example, you can have sport on its own. There is no recording.Sky Glass is basically a replacement TV, do you really need a new TV?1

Def don't need a new TV and esp one that ties you into Sky. So gave them a bit of feedback on that kind offer. I don't watch sport so no need for that either. But I do like the Sky channels and I do record a lot to watch when I feel like it. It's really annoying to see low deals for much more when you have been a loyal customer for over 20 years.0

Maybe you could ditch Sky and purchase things separately? You could buy yourself a Freeview box with recorder for less than £200. Then Fibre broadband shouldn't cost more than £30 a month if you're willing to switch provider. Then if you want Sky channels, you could get the NOW TV Entertainment package for £9.99 a month (a lot of Freeview boxes include the NOW TV app installed on them). This would halve your monthly bills and the Freeview box should last at least 5 years.1

Now TV is almost impossible not to get a retention deal on when you go to cancel it. I've been on a half price deal for Entertainment and Cinema for best part of the last 18 months.

What does a basic Sky package actually provide ? , a couple of Sky ‘channels’ are on Freeview anyway , do you actually watch much on Sky that isn’t also on free TV ?FWIW, I ditched Sky TV probably 10 years ago , so have saved at least £3000 to £4000 in that period, and haven’t missed it at all ( I only had the basic TV )
Switching broadband should not be a problem, on the day you are told , you remove the Sky router and plug in the new ISP router , that’s it , unless you are in a FTTP area , in which case the new ISP may insist on installing the new FTTP network into your home , replacing your current FTTC set up .1
