KLM - Delay Compensation and Costs Reimbursement?

Last week I flew to Stuttgart with KLM from Leeds via Amsterdam. On the outbound flight, my suitcase arrived in Stuttgart a day late so I had to buy some spare clothes, and on the return journey, the first flight was delayed so I had to take a later connecting flight, arriving 5 hours late in Leeds and incurring an additional £50 parking fee. As I see it, I should be due compensation for the late arrival in Leeds plus expenses for the clothing and parking fee. Does anyone know whether the KLM online tool allows you to combine claims like this? Or would I have to submit separate claims? Or simply write to them explaining the situation?

your expenses due to delayed baggage will be dealt with under your PIR reference so is one claim.
If compensation is due for the delayed flight, which will depend on the reason for the delayed departure from Stuttgart then that will be a separate claim (if weather or air traffic restrictions then no compensation due)
Additional parking charges would be a claim from your travel insurance not the airline. (although depending on policy excess may not be worth claiming)
  • Thanks very much for your feedback, Caz3121. Over the tannoy, they just kept saying that the delay was due to a late incoming flight, which isn't very helpful.
