Many years ago did Calais to Rome (via Paris) by train. Took 24 hours. The steam engine pulling the train was changed five times in total. On the French/Italian border got out and had a snowball fight.0

I have also had a snowball fight on that border. Sadly, steam engines were no more by then (1980).
