Using another router as a WAP

Hi, can anyone help me set up an unused, but brand new, Shell Sagemcom router to work as a Wireless Access Point (using the Shell router interface preferably) as my old Talk Talk one has developed a problem and i've had to remove it. I used it when i was a Shell customer as the Wi-Fi coverage wasn't so good upstairs and it worked great for over three years and when i moved to Sky 6 months ago i just left it connected and it migrated over without me having to make any changes but alas that has now ended. When i first installed it I used Dr Google to help me set it up but i can't seem to find anything on Google for setting one up using the Shell Interface. I'd be happy with a link to a site or even a Noddy's Guide to do it but i need something please..... :-(
Look forwards to hearing from you!!

You may find the Shell router is locked down, a lot of ISP branded routers are just so to stop you doing things with it they don't want to support.
