Mine is working just fine, but I went through a really bad patch with the site when they were redoing it-about three weeks of having to try to log on repeatedly before it would let me go on. Only thing I found that helped was to try a different way of logging on so

If you logged on to internet banking through the homepage originally (ie. clicked the Personal Internet Banking thing on the right hand side) then try going back to the homepage, click on the Personal tab on the top of the page and let it take you through to the Personal page, where there is also a log on option. Don't know why it works, but it's worth a try!

Just to say thank you for this information

I have just spent nearly half an hour with HSBC 'helpline' asking me when I last withdrew money, can i remember this, can i remember that - all I wanted was to log on which up to a couple of weeks ago i could do no problem!!

should have logged on here in the first place - one look at this post, a quick try and BINGO!! I can access my account again, so many thanks MissEyre :D

And as for HSBC I am seriously not impressed - the fella on the helpline said they were aware there were problems - well not been able to log on is quite a fundamental problem if you ask me!!

p.s. just one more query - having accessed my information, I now find there appears to be no 'log off' button - a screen pops up after so long, asking if I wish to stay logged on, so is that the only option?? Isnt technology brilliant??!! :rotfl: :rotfl:
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure!!
    ;) :rotfl: :rotfl:

The log off button/graphic appears for me on the right of the screen - just under and to the right of the HSBC 'sale' tab in the red box where it says 'You are logged on'

Hi have you found the log off button yet? When your logged on in the personal banking area, On the right hand side is an area that is coloured red, this also has a blue area, which states Internet banking. Right next to that is a whiteish grey box which has LOG OFF on it. Hope that helps.

  • Hi again

I have the blue box which says Internet Banking, but it doesnt have a red surround to it, and no log on button to the right hand side of it. There seems a slight red tinge to the right hand edge of the blue Internet Banking box but thats it.

    Very weird!!

But the main thing is I can now access my account which is what I was bothered about really.

But thanks for your advice. I am writing a letter to HSBC as I am not impressed at all, both with the changes, and with the attitude you get from those on the 'helpline' making you feel its your fault!!

    best wishes
