HSBC online banking?

Options
I had no idea where best to ask this so feel free to move it if I've goofed!

Has anyone else tried logging into their online HSBC account this morning and had problems with it?

It lets me put in my online account number and should then go to the oage where I put the security answers in, but it's going straight back to the personal banking homepage with no explanation. confused-smiley-013.gif

Does this mean the site is out of action do you think?

Hi, I've just been on & it's been OK for me. I have had similar problems lately though. I'd just keep trying until it works! I think it might be cos they've changed the format around a bit?
If it keeps happening gave them a call.

Working OK for me as well.;)
  • Mine is working just fine, but I went through a really bad patch with the site when they were redoing it-about three weeks of having to try to log on repeatedly before it would let me go on. Only thing I found that helped was to try a different way of logging on so

If you logged on to internet banking through the homepage originally (ie. clicked the Personal Internet Banking thing on the right hand side) then try going back to the homepage, click on the Personal tab on the top of the page and let it take you through to the Personal page, where there is also a log on option. Don't know why it works, but it's worth a try!

Thanks for replying. Glad to know this happens sometimes! I've never experienced it before on any of our accounts so must have been lucky I guess.

I've just got back from a trip into town so will try again now and see how I get on!

Only problem I've had is that it occasionally wipes the first few characters of my ID - pretty sure that just re-displays the home page with a small message about unknown ID (takes you into the date/password screen if the id is the correct format/length even if you have the numbers wrong).

That's the other thing that has been happening to me this morning! The first couple of times I thought I must be losing the blimming plot as I was sure I'd typed it in! biggrin.gif

Oh well, I'll know in future.

Cheers and happy new year to you all.

I find that it only does that if I use a slow speed connection ie; dial up.

Using a good quality Broadband connection it never does it.;)

    Our government should be ashamed.
