    Hi,

Baron hard up - thanks for the post re: the selection of barbers in Yorkshire - kept me and OH amused. No such selection here in South Manch though. My OH used to go to a place he loved in Brum where it was decorated half and half in Birmingham City and Aston Villa stuff - I think you could only get a short, back, and sides there too.

    LOL.

Well, where I get my hair cut is only the other side of the hills to you in Holmfirth, you can have a day out with all the pensioners who come to see where Nora Batty Lives, and have your hair cut on the same day, thus making one trip serve two purposes!

Great mens barbers at he end of the Wirrel, on a nautical theme, but it's about a tenner to get a cut there - do I have a fettish for sexy barbers?? The thrill of the electric clippers going up the back of your neck while in the hands of some sexy lady barber... How did this start:D

Perhaps you should start a thread for the 'cheapest/sexiest' men's barber, barron?

I have to pay £6.50, here in Wiltshire, and that is after shopping around. When I'm up North, I can usually get a decent haircut (scissors) for around £3 - £3.50, including tip.

End result is the same though - if I'm down here I get my hair cut once every three months, when I'm up North I get it cut every six weeks.

  • I was hoping for a NS week, however:-

I couldn't get into the car, as the remote had died - had to manually (tut tut) open the door and drive to Perrys (of all places!) with the alarm going off and everyone looking thinking I've stolen my car :rotfl: - £40 for new fob  . Then I just 'had' to go into Mr T's round the corner and buy a new food processor - OK it was 1/2 price and it was shouting "buy me, buy me - you know you want me ;) ". So that and a few other bits came to another £41.73. Then I had to 'nip' into town - 69p on a new icing bag and another £15 in petrol (although this was budgeted for). So all in all, a bit of an expensive day really. I'm glad the shops are shut tomorrow - I've not told the kids yet, but we are going for a nice long walk through the woods if weather holds up! - its free & good for you/us.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE
    C Card £5218.68 (Feb 2011)
    £2 coins (No 085) - £190
    Mort overpayments 2011 - £418.06
  • Managed a NSD! Woo hoo! But I had to keep a clear twenty feet between me and the shops all the way through town!
