I don't dislike fireworks, but I do sympathise with both Lucy and Barron Hardup - we also have cats and, whilst it is easy enough to keep them indoors for one evening, it is the indiscriminate 'letting off' of fireworks that seems to go on for weeks, that annoys me.
We will be having a few fireworks, ourselves, tonight, but they will be well-controlled and will, probably last for no more than 10-15 minutes (we get to see the neighbour's ott display for free anyway. The cats will be safely indoors all night though.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I have no objections to public controlled displays and they look very pretty, I just wish they didn't make so much noise!
I hope you all have fun and free displays are the best ones!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0 -
we also have a cat, which is terrified by fireworks. But it is so hard to wrok the following day when you have been up all night because the fireworks have been going on all night. On a personal note, I iwsh they were not allowed on any other night than November 5th, when we celebrate the only man ever to enter parliament with honest intentions.
I do love a firework display, but I honestly feel that those who let fireworks off well into the early hours have not considered the needs of those who have to go to work the next day. Just think about it, do you want your hospital nurse groggy with tiredness with a serynge pointing at your bum?0 -

Hi,
Baron hard up - thanks for the post re: the selection of barbers in Yorkshire - kept me and OH amused. No such selection here in South Manch though. My OH used to go to a place he loved in Brum where it was decorated half and half in Birmingham City and Aston Villa stuff - I think you could only get a short, back, and sides there too.

Thought I would have a NSD today as I bought the cigs yesterday. But I had to get electric, my months supply ran out early. Probably the flippin christmas tree lights. Bah Humbug. Had to get £5 credit for the phone to arrange to give sister a lift to work tommorrow. And some rolls for our tea as I have not had time to make any. Been at work all day today and again tommorrow so I hope the fireworks don't keep me awake. At about one o clock last year a very loud one woke me up. It shook the windowsAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
