Flogas say we can't leave or change tarrif until contract ends in Dec 2025. UK Gov says different

It says on the UK Gov website  (CMA)

"Signing an exclusive contract means that you’re tied to one provider of LPG for a maximum period of 2 years.

However, customers have the right to change supplier either during a contract or at the end of the exclusive period and LPG suppliers must make it easy for customers to do this. Information on how to switch must be provided to you in all new contracts and every invoice you receive from your supplier."

Flogas insist we can't change or leave until end of contract. LPG-Save say they can get a  fixed-rated tarrif which is more or less HALF of what we pay now. And it is from Flogas!!

You have probably signed a 2 year contract with Flogas. The "max 2 years" refers to the term of all Bulk LPG contracts which as far as I can see means every supplier insists on 2 years. Read the contract for terms on which you can terminate the contract early.

There is often a clause to leave during the 2 years but the LPG firm can take their tank home with them if you do.

As in " unless we have agreed to transfer the Tank to a new supplier upon the terms of the Order, we may collect the Tank (and you must make it available to us)"

So unless your switching as per the end of the 2 years and going through the switch process  the LPG firm may take the tank.

So the LPG order is about switching at the end of the 2 year exclusivity period, not during it you see.
