The bargepole thread is useful but you presumably noticed that it is really old and massively out of date on things like Mediation.  That changed in 2024.

This is why we have the first 12 steps in the Template Defence thread, which tells everyone about compulsory mediation and what to say.

Re-read those steps and links and also the section in the NEWBIES thread that comes after N180 stage.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you, after the call they didn’t give any clear next steps. On the thread I’m a bit confused on step 10 and whether or not I need to do anything right now - It looks like I don’t have to do anything until a get confirmation if DCB are proceeding or not?

Thanks again for all the help on this. I’ve heard from the court and it’s this month so I assume DCB don’t pull out at this stage and it’s going ahead?

This seems too quick to get a FINAL hearing, is it only an early 'Dispute Resolution Hearing' of 30 minutes? Does it say you must send anything before the hearing? Show us that Order.

NB: Please edit your thread title to remove 'CCJ'.  You don't have a CCJ and the title confused me.

I first got a notice of transfer of proceedings where it was transferred to Reading then I got this 2nd letter attached, whereby I need to pay a fee or provide completed application in the next week or so. I also had calls recently from DCB trying to discuss the claim? Thank you & I've updated the thread accordingly.

OK so this is the final hearing. Very quick.

You'll know from page 2 what your WS & evidence deadline is then. Already covered in the NEWBIES thread.

But why on earth are you planning on paying the Claimant's hearing fee?!

Are you counterclaiming?  If not, you do not pay the claimant's fee.  That letter looks like it is addressed to the claimant, although you have redacted it.

Perfect, thank you! I assume I ignore any phone calls from DCB?

The first few words there talk about the Claimant paying a fee.
