Advice needed - flight times changed

Hi all,

I booked flights to Valencia for next summer using Ryanair. The flight booking was for 11.15am (from Stansted) and on way back departure time was 13.55. This was confirmed in an email booking. I recently checked my booking and now notice our flights have been moved. Departure time is now 7am, and on the return flight it's 18.10.  I picked these flights as they are much better, and we're a bit more expensive too. The 7am time is way too early for us (family of 5), but when I asked about getting a refund ryanair said if it's confirmed we will be notified 90 days before the flight departure for our options. I could try get flights on another airline but not sure if I will get compensation or not from ryanair. What do people advise?

Flight schedules do change and the longer in advance you book, the more likely you are to be affected.  Ryanair have said that they new flight schedule will be confirmed 90 days in advance and at that time you'd be given your options.  That sounds reasonable to me.
As it happens, my flight to Frankfurt next weekend has been brought earlier to 9.30am.  That's not ideal as I have to get an early train to the airport (I don't drive).  But it was the best out of the options I was given.

the summer timetable will start end March so would expect them to know the confirmed slots Feb/early March...it may well change again and until you are notified officially of the change it is not fixed.
Assuming your flight numbers do not change then this is a reschedule and Ryanair use 5 hours change as a reason for refund. If the flight numbers change then that would be a cancellation.

Just to be clear, you definitely won't get compensation, but as above, whether or not you're eligible for a refund will depend on the scale of the change.
