No,the title document for the commercial property has my address on it. That’s why the council is now chasing them at my address.EssexHebridean said:OP - are you saying that on the title document for YOUR property, it states the proprietor as being a company that you have never heard of, rather than having your name and address?1 -
Are there any charges on the real title register?bedruzenka said:
As stated that was a sample from land registry website. None of the names on there are real.RAS said:In this particular case, Cornish Yarg may own the mortgage or have provided a secure loan om the property.
There is another case here in which the OP has just discovered a bankruptcy restriction listed against their property. Even though the bankruptee has the same name, it appears the OP has never been bankrupt. So they are now trying to disentangle their house from another person's bankruptcy proceedings.0 -
Yes, but no mortgage. It specifies the terms of the lease.RHemmings said:

Think we could really do with a copy of the document to which the OP refers, with just enough information crossed out so that it's safe to share. And perhaps with the OP's MSE name used when it refer to them?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1

I’m referring to the title register for the commercial building.RAS said:Think we could really do with a copy of the document to which the OP refers, with just enough information crossed out so that it's safe to share. And perhaps with the OP's MSE name used when it refer to them?
In the section of proprietorship register it states the company name and my residential address.
It is a land registry document nothing to do with companies house.0 -
in which case the document we could do with seeing is the Land Registry document, with your address covered up and the property address obscured. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

I'm not sure that's going to help any, it was reasonably clear from the OP what the issue is - i.e. the correspondence address for another property's proprietor happens to be the OP's home address. So a creditor has picked up on that as a potential correspondence address for the debtor company. It doesn't have legal implications beyond that.RAS said:in which case the document we could do with seeing is the Land Registry document, with your address covered up and the property address obscured.3 -

I’m not sure how it helps either.
Unless RAS knows how to convince land registry to remove my address from the title register.0 -
The first thing I would do is check at companies house online if your address is the registered address of the company. If it isn’t then you could contact the company at their registered address and ask them what is going on.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
