Asda Missing Items

Once again, missing items from an online Asda delivery. By far VERY much not the first time, probably happened five or six times this year. I requested a refund online and was promptly refused. We spend maybe £8K a year with Asda, not a lot maybe by some standards but still a loyal customer for very many years…until now. I’ve had it, they are becoming beyond useless, sending the worst fresh produce on the shelf, stupid substitutes and missing items so goodbye Asda.

Very different from my experience with Asda.  I've only once had a missing item.  Substitutes are fairly frequent but never stupid like I've had with other online supermarkets.  Most items have over a week before their use by dates and I've always had a prompt refund for items with issues.

Other supermarkets exist - I'm personally happy with Ocado, if you're unhappy with the service Asda provide, I'd switch to another supermarket.

£8k is a fair amount to spend with one supplier - £600 - £700 a month so you ought to be happy with the service.

There was a recent thread about delivery charges (which unfortunately degenerated into a discussion on the availability of frozen mince).

  • i've never had missing items with Asda, other than one time they missed off a full basket of stuff they'd left in the van! on the other side of things I tend to get very silly substitutes sent that aren't anything like the original product they I asked for, very hit and miss I feel

Been using Asda for a few years and never had any problems.....until my last delivery which was several items short. Over £14 worth. I think it was a missed tray of stuff. I did get a refund but next time the delivery man will be kept waiting while I cross reference my order with my delivery and I'll be telling him why he/she is waiting
