Can anyone recommend a easy and cheap S&S isa for a one off payment of 1500 to be put into legal and general tech idex fund and forget about it for the next 10 years .
Was thinking of trading 212 but not too sure if that would be the right choice ... Any help would be appreciated

If you went with Trading212 then you'd have to find an investment trust or ETF. There are some good options, but you'd need to compromise on your choice. You could instead opt for iWeb (trading name of Halifax Sharedealing), where you could access a wider range of funds, including the one you mention. You'd need to pay a £5 trading fee, but there would be no ongoing platform fees after that.

IWeb. £5 to buy then nothing to pay until you sell for another fiver

Trading212 is working well for me. They're doing a free share via referral link at the moment and no fees for transactions. It means you can drip feed over time without penalty. There are loads of ETFs to choose from but something like LGGG is a reasonable choice for buy and forget for global equities.0

Another vote for iWeb from me.
Trading 212 has a really annoying app and of the two I'd be more confident of iWeb still being around in 10 years time. T212 will either have gone under or been sold to someone by then (in either case your investment would be safe).

Agree that the app can be annoying, but to be fair, you can delete it and access T212 via the website to execute your transactions every now and then and ignore all the other fluff, which is what I do.
