  • Sorry to sound silly.
Iv read through it a few times and I understand what I'm supposed to do next.
What I want to know is what proof do they have on what basis is this fine? Because it's been 4 years I don't recall anything.

They will have evidence of the vehicle registered to you being at the location, probably the times it arrived and departed, pictures, possibly Witness statements if an operative was involved, copies of all correspondence, details of other vehicles there that day, copies of any agreement with the landowner or managing agent or business, a copy of the DVLA database lookup, etc

The time when they must share it with you is a few weeks before any court hearing in your local civil court , because they have to prove their claim in court, including the proof, known as Exhibits. ( Evidence  )

At the moment there are allegations against you, an allegation of a breach of contract by the driver on that private property. They don't have to prove anything, yet, neither do you

It wasn't a fine, it would have been a Parking Charge Notice, a PCN, from a private parking company, presumably from Euro Car Parks, presumably due to underpayment for the time on site, a shortfall

You can edit your own posts, if its necessary

You ignore the debt collectors letters, post 4 in the newbies sticky thread

    But

You come back to this thread if you receive or have a Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice, or if you receive an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL ( where ECP would be starting to sue you in Civil Court. )
  • Ok..what would my next step be..
I now have 2 different letters from the SAME DCBL legal about 2 different locations I apparently parked at. Both for £170.
One dating back Oct 2021. And the other Aug 2020.
I am so confused and so stressed 😭
    Dunno what to do next!
