A Trump win looks likely to me.
In light of this I am looking at my US investments.
Is anyone else doing the same; and what are your thoughts going forwards?

What are you envisaging the effect of a Trump win to be on US (and/or other?) equities, and what are you thinking of doing about it?1

Most of my investments are in multi asset funds, so they will rebalance themselves if anything happens after the election. I don't feel the need to tinker with them, regardless of who wins.2

I’m a bit too tech heavy; so want to thin that out. Whilst I am a big believer in AI, the market is already volatile.eskbanker said:What are you envisaging the effect of a Trump win to be on US (and/or other?) equities, and what are you thinking of doing about it?

But that just sounds like you're unconvinced about your existing allocation, rather than considering it likely to be affected by a Trump win as such?BlackKnightMonty said:

I think those observations are relevant regardless of the election outcome. It is hard to predict what effect the election result will have, whichever way it goes. How much is already baked in to prices based on what others suspect will happen?

Don't confuse economies with markets, he will have more influence on the former than the latter, particularly those that operate and sell abroad, the Microsofts and Apples of this world. I can't see him disadvantaging US companies over non-domestic ones, quite the opposite I would have thoughtIf you feel you are overweight on the US or that it is priced too high you should have done something about it long before nowThe outcome of the election seems a coin toss at the moment. I am doing what I usually do, nothing5

Oh I have lightened my tech holdings; just considering about doing even more!ColdIron said:Don't confuse economies with markets, he will have more influence on the former than the latter, particularly those that operate and sell abroad, the Microsofts and Apples of this world. With investments you should be thinkng about the long term say 10 years+. Trump will be long gone by the time it really matters.
The major long term issue I would see to be USA vs China.3 -
I'd think that with 2 or so weeks to go, you might have left it a bit late to think about this and the most likely outcomes are already priced in.As per previous comments, think about 10 year+ events for your investments, and not two weeks out.0

I'll look to see if there are bargains to be had, but can't see any point in changing anything in the short term as that is not where the focus is.0
