Meter Timeswitch Codes (MTC) for electricity meters

Yes, but there are few restrictions for those keen to see the wealth of information in there. It's simple enough to sign up for an account.Phones4Chris said:... the link you've just given requires the user to be logged in ...
It's a different way of working. There are no SSCs or TPRs involved with MTC 900 metering systems, because they are half-hourly settled and work on ToU arrangements without rigid expensive > more expensive > most expensive tariff timings. There is another table giving details of all 592 MTCs; here's the fag end of it:Phones4Chris said:... if it only goes to 899, that won't help with the recent mystery 900

So 900 is apparently the only MTC higher than 899 used for domestic supplies. The description means, I think, the supply is half-hourly settled < 75kW.
Reposting and paraphrasing here [from this post] for convenience:Phones4Chris said:... Does that table give any insight into EDFs 96 MTC?
For PC02 supplies, MTC 096 is only valid for SSC 0935, recorded only for NEEB and E.On. The SSC covers TPRs 00374 and 00375:
That's the EDF E10 schedule. The combination PC02-MTC0096-LLF2 (the 'S' panel's 2 96 2 ) is unique to NEEB.I'm not being lazy ...

Interesting. My copy of that table dated from 2016 (!) but yours was created just a couple of weeks ago (2025-09-09). A comparison only finds a new PDF creator, which apparently produced a document with identical content but at a fraction of the file size. Thanks!debitcardmayhem said:

@Ildhund Thanks for your updates.
A related query. AFAIK Smets2 meters have only one ALCS calendar, is that your understanding?0 -
Errr ... off the top of my head, yes. You're thinking about single-phase twin-element devices, I suppose. There is only one switched outlet - the fifth port - so there can only be one calendar controlling it. My advice to those about to delve into the intricacies of three-phase domestic supplies - don't 😉Phones4Chris said:

Not especially. But that raises and interesting point, thinking about our 1416-B Aclaras they have LC1 and LC2 but I've not seen an instance where there is only either LC1 or LC2 on the screen, it's always both.Ildhund said:

The thought behind my query is that there's no "default" calendar, the only calendar is the ONE programmed into it (at the same time as the tariff if done right!).0 -
That varies, I suspect, from supplier to supplier. It may be simplest just to cover all bases by activating both switches, whether either of them is energizing anything or not. I think I've seen a single LC2 showing where the switched circuit is controlled by a Proteus contactor.Phones4Chris said:

I suspect that the 'default' calendar is no calendar, i.e. the ALCS is always open (off). We've seen a few cases like this after exchanging RTS systems for smart meters. It may have been a bug in the installation software the engineers use, reporting all's well when in fact it wasn't. Given a decent WAN connection, it's easily remedied OTA by an ECAUL request.Phones4Chris said:

People might be interested in changes to supply details, the MTC and the introduction of Market-wide Half-Hourly Settlement (MHHS) this autumn. Thanks a lot for unearthing this! My statement for September just landed. Same old MPAN and MTC so far - I'll be watching like a hawk for when they change.
