Disposing of tiles (glasgow)

Hi all, I live in glasgow, and i have far too many tiles lying around. 15x15cm kitchen and bathroom tiles, about 200g weight each, They are leftovers from previous or planned renovations, by the family members who lived here before me. Mostly theyve been sitting around in storage for a decade. All intact and clean
I have at least 200 of them in one pile, and probably a few hundred more in a cupboard. and I really just want rid of them. I've been looking into getting glasgow city council to do a bulk waste uplift, but they charge £5 "per item" and one "bag" of tiles counts as one item. This is a bit vague, but it seems like it'd cost a lot to do it this way
The prospect of trying to sell them on ebay seems fraught, they're such a dense and fragile item, i don't fancy attempting to ship them around, and the value for each one is pretty low, and there's tons of competition for this kind of item anyways
The prospect of just putting them in the bin has come up, but any more than a handful would start to cause weight problems and maybe prevent bin collection. Doing it this way would take forever in small batches
i'm at a loss here, i dont know what to do. I would like to get rid of these with minimal effort and cost
any ideas?

Find whatever 'free stuff' social media group is active in your area? I got rid of a smaller number of tiles that way.

Yes, if you have freecycle or freegle active around you that could work. Otherwise Facebook?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Put on free cycle (or similar) and say ideal for small tiling jobs, ideal for art use for tile mosaic/making hot pot stands etc. Give an idea of colours and patterns. You might find art students will like them - even ask if an art college would like them/put an ad on the notice board.0

Will they take a boot full of tiles? Do they charge for that kind of thing?0

I’ve got rid of tiles on freecycle, there’s generally someone can use stuff like that0

Freegle/freecycle. If the Glasgow ones are anything like mine, you pull up and lob the stuff in to skips. Different areas will be signposted for the type of waste. e.g. Metals, clothing, electrical, building waste, and so on. By the looks of it, Glasgow accepts rubble & DIY waste without charging. https://www.glasgow.gov.uk/hwrc

Tiles are heavy so don't try to overload a car if you do take them to one of the council dumps. Might be a few trips. No problem dumping them at Glasgow Council places. As others have suggested, Freecycle or even Gumtree might get a few takers.Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0

I agree put them on Freecycle or Gumtree titled Night on the Tiles there is bound to be someone in Glasgow interested.0
