Amended. It gets confusing sometimes when dealing with such vermin who have no regard for the law.
All this rubbish about trying to let it time out is not required. There is absolutely ZERO chance that one of these APCOA issued fake Penalty Notices, could ever be prosecuted and they know it.
Do we have any evidence of even a single APCOA PN prosecuted over the last 10 years. Of course we don't because they could never do so, even if they wanted to. If it isn't a real PN, then they can't.
It's a fraud on massive scale that involves £millions over the years. Their scam is up and they are about to be exposed.
You also have to ask why doesn't APCOA litigate? Are they likely to be exposed in their scam?4 -
Letter sent. Will update when I get news.2

Update...well not much to update really..
Almost 2 weeks since I sent my letter of complaint to Apcoa, aka Crapcoa.
Also, 2 weeks since the so called deadline from debt recovery plus.
Not a sniff of a reply or chase letter from either....yet.

Update
I have had a second letter from DRP, this one entitled notice of consideration of court action. It has a new deadline demanding the £170 is paid, or they will recommend court action to APCOA.
I plan to ignore, as per advice on this forum.
I have had no reply from APCOA regarding my letter of complaint, in which I explained I have been abroad and therefore missed the chance to appeal.
I plan to sit tight and wait it out!
Agree?

It has a new deadline demanding the £170 is paid, or they will recommend court action to APCOA.Even if the do 'recommend', APCOA never take any case to the small claims court. Empty threat! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

APCOA have replied to my letter of complaint. Letter was dated 1 November but strangely only arrived over the weekend, so although they have given me 14 days to respond, I have less than a week remaining. I wonder if they post their letters the day they are dated…
they have given me 14 days to respond and provide evidence that I was out of the country during the original appeal window of 28 days. They will consider the evidence and therefore decide if my request to appeal will be approved. They have placed the case on hold for 14 days.My thoughts are that I send in the evidence and see if they then agree to give me a chance to appeal the original PN.(As per my original post, I wasn’t out of the country for the entire 28 days appeal window. I returned home briefly during that window, but didn’t find the time to open any mail. )0 -
Do you not have flight tickets for your exit date, and similar for your return date?(As per my original post, I wasn’t out of the country for the entire 28 days appeal window.
