Landrover defect replacement DPF fitted

I had a new DPF fitted by Landrover last year at 15k miles. Vehicle is 2020 discovery sport. 1 year and 7k miles on and DPF failed again and needs replacement. Dealer adamant the replacement DPF fitted last year is defect. And have fought the case however Landrover won’t pay. Advice please

If you paid the dealer then your contract is with them.  Having acknowledged the filter was defective they need to refund you.   If and how they get reimbursed from LandRover is their problem to sort out.

I see, so your current dealer is saying the filter Land Rover fitted was faulty.  Get the dealer to put that in writing and go back to Land Rover (as the seller of the defective filter) and ask for a replacement or a partial refund.

If it's you that's fought the case already, then you need to up the ante and consider small claims court action.

7k miles a year is very low for a modern diesel and is almost certainly contributing to this problem

Was the initial replacement done free of charge under warranty?

Yes it was replaced free of charge. The issue is that the replacement part has a manufacturing defect
