GSHP - EcoForest - High Energy usage

Hi,
We are a bit wiser now with what the issues has been.
- We had a service completed by the orginal installers of the GSHP. They looked at the issues we was having and diagnosed that the GSHP was low on refrigerant. The company didn't have a refrigerant engineer
- This was then confirmed over the phone via the manufacturer of the GSHP. Most likey due to a leak
- We was quoted £2000 (by a refrigerant engineer recommended by the manufacturer) to have the existing GSHP refrigerant replaced, leaks found+leaks repaired.
- We found a local company who do refrigerant repairs and HP servicing (came to diagnosed that we had 5 leaks on the pipes for the compressor. Which have been fixed and refrigerant been replaced (at cost of £900). Only had 150grams of refrigerant before the repair. This should have been 1.2KG for operating correctly.
- HP now working as expected and we have working central heating.
It was noted by the engineer who did the repair that seems to been leaking due to methods used unit was being built. Not great as we would expect a better build quality. Hope this helps others.3 -
I assume it was out of warrantee then? How long ago was it installed? I'd be a bit grumpy about paying to fix a manufacturing error.0
