searching land registry by home owner name

Options
Hi,

Is there a resource/ website/ dataset which allows you to search by a persons name and see which properties they own?
thre Land registry only seems to allow searching by address rather than by person's name
Thanks

Electoral register will only give you the names registered at a property who can vote. This may well not be the name of the property owner.

Assuming you mean England or Wales, no. Quite easy in the Scottish registers. Dunno about NI.

You can buy a copy of the title deed for a property to see who owns it and if there are any charges against it etc - but at £3 each you’d need to have address in mind that you think they might own. Where an owner has died, the Land Registry will not show this; the entry only updates once it is transferred into the name of a beneficiary/sold.

Hi, i'm looking at it from the other point of view. I'm trying to ascertain which properties an individual owns rather than searching by property. i.e which titles are under his name.
    Thanks
  • It's a search of the Proprietorship Register you need to do, but I think only solicitors can do it and only in some circumstances for individual names.

Think this is still per property - I think the OP's question is "how many properties does Joseph Bloggs [dob 01/01/1980] own....

I had figured this was what the OP was asking but didn’t think there was a way to do this. Per one of the other replies though, it can be done if Scotland. Otherwise, they may simply have to use what is available if that’s of any use, while not being ideal.
