I saw a Heat Geeks video interview with the founder of Homely and was interested to note that Samsung is one of the brands it is designed to work with. Having looked at the Samsung installation manual, prior to an ECO4 installation, I got the distinct impression that the inbuilt controls are pretty rudimentary and I might benefit from a Homely retrofit, to get the best out of the machine.
Is anybody else using Homely? Is it the best thing since sliced bread?

I'm not using it, but agree that the technology sounds very good. My only reservation with it (as with all devices that rely on a internet-service from the vendor) is what happens if the provider goes bust. The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Good point. I reckon it is the sort of thing that Octopus might like to acquire in those circumstances, which could save the day.0

Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
I have one. It's worked well for a year now, and certainly is good at scheduling hot water heating at the cheapest point in the day (I am on Octopus Agile). It's less good at staying completely off over evening peak, but I think it's because it prioritises comfort over cost. Overall a good purchase for me.
