UKPC court hearing

I have not been here for 5yrs since defeating another parking company De Vere, thanks @Coupon-mad.

I have relied on this great site and now have a court hearing with UKPC in January 2025 (the incident occurred in October 2023). I have submitted all the paperwork, just the witness statement due by end of October, UKPC have to pay the hearing fee in early December 2024 (deliberately vague with dates).

Is there a template witness statement or a successful version I could cast my eye over please.

Look over recent approved witness statements in other recent threads on here, plus the ones in the discontinuations thread by Umkomaas too, especially any successful UKPC ones

If you're following all the required court procedures I'd be very surprised if you get anywhere near a court hearing. UKPC (aided and abetted by DCB Legal) are the most prolific time wasters of the small claims court. Discontinuations rack up weekly. Have a read of their cases in the following thread. Join its ranks once you let us see a copy of their formal Notice of Discontinuation - possibly before the year is out.

Thank you @Gr1pr and @Umkomaas for the quick responses and guidance, I will follow through your advice and craft a witness statement. And add my result, if they fail to pay up in December the case will be thrown out. If they pay, then meet you in court in January 2025

Is this a UKPC in-house claim or was it filed by DCB Legal?

Thank you @Coupon-mad for the links. Claimant is UKPC and serving address is DCBL, I suspect they are one and the same. Most of the thretening letters were from DCBL

UKPC is the private parking company , the Claimant

DCBL is DCB LTD, debt collectors, completely different , DCBL won't be on the claim form

DCB Legal is the legal team dealing with the court claim ( lawyers ) , DCB Legal will be on the claim form

    None are the same

Neither of the above, necessarily. Stay with the process, no complacency. Read the link I gave you to realise that your chance of a court hearing is minimal.

I am working on my draft witness statement for submission before end of October against UKPC.

The ticket was issued because the car was not neatly parked in a bay. The rear wheels crossed over a white line, partially blocking a footpath, the huge car in front had crept into our bay.

UKPC are seeking £219.14 through litigation, but having logged on to their site, it mentions £60.

After revisiting the parking site for pictures yesterday, I noticed a significant change. The site is no longer managed by UKPC, as indicated by the signs now mentioning Group Nexus. Could this change in management have implications for the validity of the parking ticket?

Thank you, @Gr1pr, for your statement, It is helpful to see the authorities to rely on, etc.
