I've tried reporting to the Information Commissioners office ICO Not expecting anything but if we don't report, they can't do anything.I guess they have to gather up a critical mass.0

If you know a foreign language, start talking to them in that language
My usual response when I find out it is a scam caller is just to say "Thank you, goodbye" and end the call.) and about the only thing I remember is a Russian Christmas carol. I can still spout it out with a reasonable Russian accent. I hope if I have to try this that the person on the line doesn’t speak Russian

One of the advantages of a Google Pixel mobile and its call screening AI features.
Don't recognise the number, pass it to the call screening and let that give them a message to tell it what they are calling about and it will transcribe it to the screen. Most hang up, others you can see if you want to answer it if they say why they are calling.0 -
I get several of these calls everyday! Its been going on for over 6 months so i have had hundreds. I get a lot of genuine calls everyday due to work, so its difficult for me to screen these calls out. They always call from a different number every time, they have no interest in removing me from the database, the information they have is car reg (therefore make and model) and my name, so there must have been a data breach somewhere! They just won't stop ringing. I have already made an emissions claim through a genuine route and am more than familiar with the process (in fact the car model I have the group claim deadline has passed so you can't even claim anymore under that mass action) this company don't care so its obviously a scam.
I am already on TPS and have reported to ICO several times, the calls did stop for a month or so but have recently started again.
Sorry for everybody else going through this, there isn't much that can be done based on my experience!0 -
